Mostly because I want somewhere to talk to other fans, and hopefully it will be as great as hanging out with all my fellow Aiden fans on here last year. (For the record, Frankie is not as special to me as Aiden, and I can’t imagine he ever will be, but he’s the one I’m supporting this year.)

Sorry I havn’t posted this ages ago, I’ve been really busy recently and havn’t been able to. Anyway, thank you so much for all your ideas, you’ve all been amazing! Here is a shortlist of ideas:

* Scrapbook - This would involve us creating a massive scrapbook full of our messages to Aiden. Not just messages though - it can be pictures, photos, songs, poems, lists…anything, be creative! Also, if we do this it would be good to start with a ‘however many’ Things We Love About Aiden, and each person could write a different thing and maybe accompany it with a picture. You could also put in a picture of yourself next to it to show who it’s from. (I think Aiden quite likes knowing who his fans are!) If we did this, there’s the problem of how we’d get the scrapbook together. There’s been a few suggestions for this.

Either a) You all send your pages for the scrapbook to me, and I put them together and send it to Aiden b) We have a big meetup day, in which we meet up in different groups around the UK (unless you live somewhere else, in which case you’d send it to me) and put together our parts of the scrapbook as a group. Then you’d all send your group’s part to me, I’d put the different parts together & send it to Aiden, or c) We compile a list of everyone’s addresses (obviously you’d have to be okay with this), order them and send the scrapbook on a journey around the UK, with each person adding to it and then sending it on to the next person (there’d be a list so you’d know who to send it to next), back to me and then I’d send it to Aiden.

* Getting a massive amount of us in a big, open location & creating a sign out of all of us - This would involve all of us meeting up in an open location, perhaps somewhere like Hampstead Heath in London (only a suggestion) and using ourselves to create a sign such as ‘We Love Aiden’. I’m not sure how we’d go about taking the picture, as obviously we don’t have the money to hire a helicopter to take it for us! But possibly, if we all lay down, and someone took the picture from a hill above, as well as film it happening (we’ll have to research into the right location for this) it could work. If we want to do this we’ll probably have to work together to advertise the plan to a lot of people, as we’ll need a lot of people to make it work, and it will be hard to get enough people together at the same time and place.

We would all need to wear the same colour clothes as well, so that the sign would stand out more. People have said that it would be good if we could somehow get it onto the local news - again, I’m not sure how we’d go about this, but it would be good. With a lot of advertising, and perhaps even contacting small, local news papers it may be a possibility. If that happened, Aiden could possibly see it that way. But we would of course send the picture to him through his fanmail, and show him the video of it happening via the internet.

* Getting a massive amount of us out in public, and doing an Aiden-based dance/song - This would involve us all meeting up in a public location - somewhere not quiet enough that no one notices us, but not so busy that we can’t move around. Again, it would be best if it’s in a city, perhaps London. We would arrange a time, date and place, as well as which dance moves and which songs we’d be incorporating into it. Like with the above idea, we would have to work together to advertise it a lot, as we’d need a lot of people for anyone to take any notice and not think we’re just a bunch of people messing around. We could all wear Aiden shirts/hoodies etc. to make it clear what we’re doing.

It would be best to meet somewhere quiet first (a park for example) to sort out the dance and what we’re doing. It’s not that it’s meant to be serious or technically good, but if we just go out there and everyone’s doing different moves and singing different songs at different times, people won’t have a clue what’s going on and we’ll just look like we’re messing around. So we’d have to arrange some kind of dance made up of Aiden’s moves and sing one of the songs he’s performed. We’d have to practice it before going somewhere more public and performing it. The idea is that people stop and take notice. To make it clear what we’re doing, we could have people at the front/sides, not joining in, but standing with ‘SUPPORT AIDEN GRIMSHAW’ signs or something to that effect. Someone would also film it, and we’d have to send the film to Aiden via the internet. Pictures could be taken also, and we could send these to him through his fanmail, and mention the video too. It might be difficult not to start laughing and would probably be a bit scary, but it’s possible. The ‘get it on the news’ thing applies to this too.

* Video Mash-up - This would involve each of us filming a clip of ourselves talking about Aiden, and doing anything else you wish, such as dancing, singing or making signs. Then someone (this is the problem here, I can’t edit videos to save my life, so someone else would need to) would cut up all the clips, so it would be a mash-up out of what everyone’s sent in. For example, first it could come up with a few clips of people dancing, then it could to someone saying ‘I love Aiden..’ and another person saying ‘because he’s..’ and another person saying, ‘so unique and sings…’ and it would go on like that, with the sentences being cut up and strung together in a different way. Once the video had been made, we’d send it to Aiden via the internet.

* Street Teams -This would involve us creating a name for our street teams (even though we’d have different teams, we’d all have the same names, like a brand of street team) and splitting up into different teams for each part of the UK. EG. There would be one for each city, and you would be part of the one for the city nearest to you. We would use this site to compile a list of members for each team, and we would all meet up with posters and flyers, which you’d use to advertise Aiden. At the moment, it may not be that helpful, although we could use it to advertise his gigs at the moment (although I think it may be a bit late for that) but in the future it could be used to advertise upcoming gigs and albums etc.

* Handmade Gifts Package - This is quite simple. For this, we’d all make a gift for Aiden. For example, bracelets (as he loves these so much!) or mix CDs etc. with notes attached. You could all send your gifts to me and I’d send them all together in a big package, along with a letter of how we all got together to do it.

* Collage - This would involve us all creating signs for Aiden, and taking pictures of ourselves with them. Please make them as creative as you can! Then, you’d all send me the pictures (via the internet, or post, if you’d prefer) and I’d compile them together to make a collage, which I’d then send to Aiden through his fanmail. I’d also take a picture of it so you could all see, obviously (:

So, there’s the ideas. Please, please think about it properly and then tell me which one you’d be willing to take part in the most, (we can do more at a later date, but we need to just focus on right now) in my ask box.
